09.14.2010
Don Walsh is the new head of Offit Kurman’s Government Contracting practice group. Offit Kurman’s continued growth in the Washington D.C marketplace has resulted in growth of the firm’s Government Contracting Practice. “Government contracting is an important segment of our practice,” says Managing Principal Ted Offit. “We understand that, companies involved in government contracting have unique needs which can only be addressed by counsel who have an understanding of the constraints and opportunities of working with the government.” Mr. Offit added, “As one of the mid-Atlantic’s fastest growing law firms we are clearly positioned to serve the needs of businesses using federal and state funds as sources of their income and growth.”
“I am delighted to be heading up the government contracting group” said Don Walsh. “We have a strong presence in this area and I am looking forward to leading the group as we continue to expand our practice and presence in this marketplace.”
Offit Kurman’s Government Contracting Group works closely with its clients assisting them on various contractual, business and administrative issues which arise when doing business with federal, state, and local governments including everything from employee issues to protests and claims for equitable adjustments. The group has extensive experience before local government offices, the Government Accountability Office, the Court of Federal Claims, various state and federal boards of contract appeals and the federal and state court systems.
