Business Women’s Network of Howard County Awards Life Long Learner Scholarship

Yesterday, the Business Women’s Network of Howard County awarded its Life Long Learner Scholarship to a student at Howard Community College.  Over the years, BWN has awarded tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to women who are making a difference in their community, and who could use a little help.

Dr. Cynthia Campbell, of Gold Apple Services spoke about the importance of education for adults, and Emma Ostendorp, who runs the Howard County Library System Project Literacy program spoke about our population’s challenges with literacy.

As it does each month, BWN collects for a non-profit organization.  This month, donations went to the Project Literacy program.

Join us each month for a luncheon meeting, informative speakers, and networking with an amazing group of leaders in our community.  For more information, consult the website at:  www.bwn-hoco.org.
