Practice Focus

Mr. Forgues focuses his practice in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, construction, and landlord representation.  Mr. Forgues provides critical insight and support in all stages of the litigation process, including discovery, pre-trial disputes, and dispositive motions.

Activities

Mr. Forgues recently was named “Bar Leader” by the Bar Foundation of Montgomery County, Maryland in recognition for his service and dedication to the Bar Foundation and Bar Association. He is a co-chair of the Capital Campaign Committee, a committee created to coordinate the raising of funds for the renovation of the Bar Foundation offices in Rockville, Maryland. Mr. Forgues also serves on the Strategic Planning Committee of the Bar Association. The Strategic Planning Committee meets monthly to develop and implement long-term goals for the Bar Association and Bar Foundation to ensure they remain leaders in the Maryland legal community. Mr. Forgues is the co-chair of the Montgomery County Bar Association Technology Committee. As the co-chair, Mr. Forgues works with the local and legal community to improve online access to information and to implement the mission of the Association, including continuing legal education coursework and regular communication publications to its members. Mr. Forgues is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association.

Previous Work

Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Mr. Forgues worked as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable David A. Boynton in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, in the complex civil litigation rotation. His work with Judge Boynton provides him a unique insight into the judiciary and effective case strategy. Mr. Forgues also has prior experience in general civil defense litigation.
