Mr. Schoeller’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation matters with an emphasis on business disputes, intellectual property, franchising and distribution, antitrust, and shareholder’s suits. Mr. Schoeller also has significant experience in class actions. In addition, Mr. Schoeller regularly consults and advises clients on antitrust, franchise and distribution, and intellectual property matters.

Points of Distinction
In the first known case of its kind, Mr. Schoeller represented a condominium association in a quiet title action seeking a declaration that all of the liens on the 150 condominium units were released and removed from the units’ titles upon satisfaction of the condominium termination provisions of the Pennsylvania Uniform Condominium Act.
Mr. Schoeller represented an international manufacturing company in a class action involving claims that the company’s pricing practices violated the Robinson-Patman Act and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.
Mr. Schoeller represented a plaintiff class in a franchise class action that resulted in a jury verdict in favor of the class for more than $375 million, and that was settled on confidential terms following appeal.
Mr. Schoeller represented a German corporation in an action in which Mattel, Inc. sought to enjoin the German corporation from pursuing a civil action against Mattel in the German courts.
Activities
Mr. Schoeller is a member of the Antitrust Law Section and the Forum on Franchising of the American Bar Association, as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Publications/Speeches
Mr. Schoeller has written articles that have appeared in various publications, including the National Law Journal, Pennsylvania Law Journal, ABA Franchise Law Journal, The Licensing Journal, and the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Business Law.
Previous Work
Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Mr. Schoeller was a partner in the Philadelphia office of a large international law firm. After graduating cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania law school, Mr. Schoeller served as a law clerk to Chief Judge John F. Gerry of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
