Marjorie Just’s practice focuses on the negotiation, settlement and litigation of complex Family Law matters in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is a trained Family Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer.

Ms. Just is a founding member of the Collaborative Divorce Association in Montgomery County, Maryland, as well as the Maryland Collaborative Practice Council. She is also a volunteer family law mentor for the District of Columbia Law Firm Pro Bono program. In 1998, Ms. Just was the recipient of the Montgomery County, Maryland, Bar Foundation's Annual Pro Bono Service Award. She was also named as one of the "2010 Top Divorce Lawyers" by Bethesda Magazine in it's May/June edition.
Activities
Ms. Just is a member of many associations and organizations including the Family Law Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association, the DC Metro Area Collaborative Protocols Committee, and the DC Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Collaborative Divorce Association. Ms. Just is a Court Appointed Family Law Mediator for the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, and she is a Family Law Mentor for the DC Bar Law Firm Pro Bono Program.
Publications/Speeches
Published Case: Atkinson vs. Atkinson, 730 A.2d 667 (D.C., 1999).
Ms. Just is the author of “Divorce Decisions: Practical Ways to Protect Yourself, Your Children and Your Wallet,” published in August 2009 by Capital Books.
Ms. Just has spoken on various continuing legal education panels on issues relating to family law such as tracing of marital and non-marital property, the Fifth Amendment Privilege, drafting of separation agreements and the Child Support Guidelines.
