Practice Focus

Ms. Wilburn’s practice focuses on commercial litigation involving real estate, commercial lending, secured transactions, property dispositions, workouts, foreclosures, commercial leasing and general commercial matters.  With experience representing both national and community-based lenders, she has provided legal assistance in connection with workout agreements, foreclosures, forbearance agreements and the general pursuit of remedies in connection with loan repayment.  Additionally, Ms. Wilburn has a background representing creditors involved in bankruptcy actions and applies this experience to all areas of commercial litigation.

Ms. Wilburn is an active member of the Montgomery County Bar Association.

Publications/Speeches

Ms. Wilburn submitted an appellate brief in the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland and one reply brief in the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

Previous Work

Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Frances practiced commercial litigation at Friedlander Misler, PLLC, in Washington, D.C., where she routinely acted as lead associate in commercial litigation cases.  In law school, Frances served as a law clerk for MasTec, Inc. as part of their in-house legal department and assisted with national litigation matters involving construction law.  In addition, she interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for the Felony Division Chief where she gained daily courtroom experience.
