Practice Focus

Ms. Akson focuses her practice in the area of civil, commercial and real estate litigation, providing support in all stages of the litigation process, including discovery, preparing motions and drafting post-trial and appellate briefs. In addition, Ms. Akson provides support in the fields of estate planning and real estate transactions.

Previous Work

Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Ms. Akson was an attorney at the Law Firm of James L. Pearl, providing litigation support in the areas of civil, commercial and real estate litigation.  Ms. Akson's prior experience also includes working as a Title Officer at Land Services USA, a Philadelphia Title Insurance Company, handling commercial and residential real estate transactions.

In addition, during her years at Hofstra University School of Law, Ms. Akson was a summer associate at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz and Dicker LLP in their White Plains, New York office, a legal intern at the Nassau County Family Court, and the Managing Editor of the Journal of International Business and Law.
