Kate McQueen has significant experience in a wide array of complex civil litigation, focusing on commercial litigation and family law. She has developed a guardianship practice, often serving as court-appointed guardian for individuals when their family members or friends are unwilling or unable to do so. Activities
Kate is an active participant in the Montgomery County Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association. She is a member of the Peer Review Commission, by the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland, which oversees the discipline of Maryland lawyers and reviews the conduct of lawyers to determine the need for alternatives to discipline. In addition, Kate is an active volunteer for the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service and several national and local organizations that serve children and families.
Publications/Speeches
A talented writer, Kate has been published in the Public Contract Law Journal and co-authored, "Note,The High Price of Campaign Promises: Ill-Conceived Labor Responsibility Policy."
Previous Work
Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Kate was an associate at a respected Bethesda firm where she practiced Civil Litigation, Family Law and Construction Litigation.
