Practice Focus

Mr. Cannon's practice is focused on representation of landlords and property managers of residential and commercial real estate. This representation encompasses all aspects of the leasing business, including litigation. In addition to landlord representation, Mr. Cannon handles complex litigation matters of all types, including business disputes, insurance coverage matters and personal injury cases.

Points of Distinction

Mr. Cannon was recognized as a 2012 Maryland Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Activities

Mr. Cannon is a writer for The Daily Record's "Generation J.D.," a blog for young lawyers. He is an associate in the Montgomery County Inn of Court for 2011-12. He is a member of the Jesuit Gridiron Classic Committee, the John Carroll Society and serves on the Board of the Gonzaga Business Network. In 2012, Mr. Cannon is serving as the President of the Catholic Business Network of Montgomery County and of the Loyola University Maryland Regional Alumni Board for Washington, D.C. Mr. Cannon taught English at his alma mater, Gonzaga College High School, from 2001-2008.

Previous Work

Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Mr. Cannon served as a law clerk to the Honorable William P. Greene, Jr., Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Mr. Cannon also has significant experience in civil litigation, including business disputes, insurance coverage, medical malpractice and personal injury.
