PRACTICE FOCUS

Elyse Strickland has extensive experience in complex civil litigation, including managing all aspects of commercial litigation and family law matters.

In her family law practice, Elyse deals with a vast array of cases involving issues such as business valuation, property distribution, alimony, child support, custody, and visitation. Elyse is also trained as a family law mediator and collaborative lawyer. She is certified as a Best Interest attorney.

In her commercial litigation practice, Elyse assists clients in resolving business controversies. She has represented a wide variety of clients from individuals to publicly traded corporations and small business entities in all types of commercial litigation cases such as shareholder disputes; breach of contract cases; construction litigation; and employment litigation, including the enforceability of non-compete provisions, non-solicitation provisions, and trade secrets.

Elyse is also well-known in the “factoring industry” as a result of her many years of practice in representing companies who purchase payment streams such as structured settlement payments and lottery winnings.

Elyse takes a practical approach to resolving conflicts, and assists her clients in managing risk and achieving a sensible and successful resolution of problems.
