David McRae is a real estate and banking lawyer who represents clients in a wide variety of commercial real estate, business, and loan financing transactions.  Mr. McRae prepares and negotiates contracts, deeds, leases, loan documents, easements, and many other types of agreements, and provides steady, seasoned, results-oriented counsel to help his clients attain their transactional goals.

Mr. McRae handles a broad range of transactions, including property acquisitions and dispositions, all types of commercial real property leasing (including office, retail, restaurant, warehouse, mixed-use, storage/parking lot, and vacant land leasing, and also including long-term ground leasing), lease assignments and amendments, subleases, bank and credit union loan origination transactions, private lending transactions, loan modification and workout transactions, deed in lieu of foreclosure agreements, REO outsales, loan acquisition transactions, property license and occupancy agreements, formation/conversion of residential and commercial condominiums in Maryland and the District of Columbia, formation of land condominiums, declarations of covenants and restrictions on land, easement agreements, property ownership/title changes, title cleanup, resolution of title disputes, resolution of boundary line disputes, zoning variances and special exceptions, co-op unit transfers, property development agreements, joint venture agreements, business formation and governance documents, subscription agreements, business acquisitions and dispositions, and many other matters.

PREVIOUS WORK

In the early years of his legal career, Mr. McRae worked as a staff attorney handling regulatory issues for a national consumer safety advocacy organization in Washington, DC.  Before acquiring his law degree, he worked for over seven years in the field of marketing, technical, and corporate communications for a manufacturing corporation headquartered in Colorado and a biotech corporation headquartered in Maryland.
